About the programme

D.Pharm is the shortest professional route into pharmacy practice. Two years cover pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, biochemistry, hospital and clinical pharmacy, and drug store management.

The programme is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and includes 500 hours of practical training in a hospital or community pharmacy, which is a condition of registration.

On completion and registration with the State Pharmacy Council, graduates can practise as registered pharmacists, run a retail pharmacy, or work in hospital pharmacies and the pharmaceutical industry. Lateral entry to B.Pharm is also available.

Eligibility

10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. Approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
