What we can and cannot promise
No college can guarantee a job, and any college that tells you otherwise is selling something. What a college can do is teach the skill properly, put you in front of employers, and prepare you for the interview.
That is what the placement and career cell does. It is also worth being clear that for a large share of our students — particularly in arts, commerce and education — the destination is a government examination rather than a campus offer, and we treat preparation for that as a legitimate outcome rather than a failure of placement.
The strongest employment position in the group belongs to nursing and allied health. Those students spend years on hospital wards during their training, and are frequently recruited by the institutions where they trained.

Where our graduates work
Hospitals & clinical services
Multi-speciality and district hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic chains, physiotherapy and rehabilitation units. Nursing and allied health graduates are recruited largely through the relationships built during clinical training.
Accounting, audit & banking
Chartered accountancy firms, audit practices, tax consultancies, banks, NBFCs and insurance companies — the standard destinations for B.Com, B.Com (Hons.) and M.Com graduates.
IT & software services
Software development, web development, testing, database and IT support roles for BCA graduates, in Dehradun and in the NCR and Bengaluru markets.
Schools & education
Government and private schools recruit B.Ed. graduates for upper primary and secondary posts. CTET and state TET clearance opens the government route.
Pharmacy & pharmaceuticals
Hospital and retail pharmacy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, distribution and medical representation for D.Pharm graduates on registration.
Wellness & tourism
Yoga studios, wellness resorts, retreat centres and hotel spa operations — a substantial and growing employer in Uttarakhand for B.A. (Yoga) graduates.
What the placement and career cell provides
- Resume and application workshopsEvery final-year student writes a resume with the cell and has it reviewed before they apply anywhere.
- Interview preparation and mock interviewsPractice interviews with faculty and visiting professionals, including the technical questions specific to each field.
- Aptitude and reasoning trainingStructured preparation for the aptitude tests used in campus recruitment and in banking and government examinations.
- Campus recruitment drivesEmployers are invited to campus through the year. Nursing, allied health, commerce and computing cohorts see the most activity.
- Government examination guidanceA significant share of our students are preparing for state and central examinations alongside their degree. The cell supports that route as seriously as it supports employment.
- Higher study counsellingAdvice on M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, M.Ed., post-basic B.Sc. Nursing and B.Pharm lateral entry — including which of our own programmes lead where.
